November 2020 sales for Subaru of America, Inc. is more than an 11% decrease compared with November 2019, with only 50,413 units sold this year as opposed to last year’s 56,893 sold vehicles.
Last November was also Subaru’s seventh consecutive month of 50,000+ vehicle sales in 2020, according to PR Newswire.
Similar to the previous month, it was Outback that outperformed the rest of the carline with Crosstek coming in second.
November 2020 sales for Outback increased by 3.5% compared to the same month in 2019.
While being the second-best performing vehicle for the month, Crosstek recorded its best November ever with 12,841 sales, a 23.7% growth over the same month last year.
Despite a 14% decrease in its year-to-date sales of 548,384 compared to the same period in 2019, Thomas J. Doll, president and CEO of Subaru of America, Inc. and Senior Vice President of Sales Jeff Walters, are still optimistic about the business.
"In a sales month that was shorter than usual, our retailers rose to the challenge to deliver steady sales during this time of uncertainty," Doll said. "We look forward to the December holiday season and another month of opportunity to deliver the safest, most reliable and family-friendly vehicles on the market."
Walters said retailers delivered a successful result and brought them a step closer to exceeding their forecast of 600,000 units this year.
"December car-buyers have an extra incentive to choose Subaru this holiday season thanks to our 13th annual Subaru Share the Love Event. With every new Subaru purchased or leased at participating Subaru retailers nationwide, Subaru will donate $250 to the customer's choice of charity," Walters said.
