Subaru of America will soon be kicking off its 13th annual Subaru Share the Love Event, where this year company officials are hoping to exceed $200 million in donations to those in need.

"Each year, we look forward to the Subaru Share the Love Event as a special time where our retailers, customers, national and local charity partners come together to make an impact on our communities," Senior Vice President of Marketing Alan Bethke told PR Newswire. "We are honored to be more than a car company for all those who interact with Subaru by supporting the causes that are closest to their hearts. While this year has challenged us all, we look forward to being a force for good through the 2020 Subaru Share the Love Event."

From Thursday, Nov. 19 through Monday, Jan. 4 of next year, the company will be donating $250 to a charity of the customer’s choosing for every new Subaru purchased or leased at one of its 632 participating dealerships. The customer also has the option of making their contribution to one of the national partner charities that include The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation or to a local hometown charity.

For the second straight year, all participating Subaru dealerships will also be donating $5 to their hometown charities for every routine Subaru vehicle service visit during the nearly two-month life of the Share the Love campaign.

Since launching the program in 2008, Subaru has now donated more than $176 million to a host of national and hometown charities.
