Brown Automotive Group's Fairfax Mazda recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new dealership in Fairfax, Virginia.

According to a press release, the groundbreaking ceremony was held where the once sales and service building had been located, and since demolished, to be replaced by the new building set to be completed in Fall 2023.

"An exciting update from the Brown's Fairfax Mazda team: We had our official groundbreaking ceremony on our new building last Friday, June 10," Brown Automotive Group wrote in June 16 Facebook post. "We are so excited to see this project come together. The new building is expected to open in the Fall of 2023, but both sales and service are still OPEN for business! A big thank you to our partners Truist, Chesapeake Contracting Group, Penney Design Group, Walter L. Phillips, Inc. and Mazda USA for being there with us!"

The new dealership is designed to have "a gallery type feel" and plans to have "extensive use of glass for a transparent view into the dealership operation," according to a press release.

The new dealership will also include a customer lounge, beverage counter, searing, Wi-FI, charging stations for mobile devices and other amenities.

Brown Automotive's Fairfax Mazda remains open while the new location is being constructed, the press release explained. The group has other locations within its group throughout the Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington and District of Columbia regions.
