Carlock Automotive Group acquires Freeway Honda Alabama

Carlock Automotive Group has added its first Honda franchise to its more than 15 franchises with its acquisition of a Birmingham, Alabama, Honda dealership.

Freeway Honda, now known as Carlock Honda, located at 1813 Ensley Ave., was formerly owned by Victory Automotive Group.   

"The group sold Freeway Honda in Birmingham, Ala., on May 9 to Carlock Automotive Group," Victory Automotive Group announced.

Victory Automotive Group is the 14th-largest dealer group in the United States, according to a Newswire press release. It has more than 50 locations and celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Carlock Automotive Group, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, has been in the industry for more than 50 years. It currently has 16 brands across Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, including Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Lotus, Maserati, Nissan, Porsche, Ram, Rolls-Royce, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.

Mike Sims of Pinnacle Mergers and Acquisitions of Frisco, Texas, is credited with helping Victory Automotive Group sell the Honda location, adding to the more than 10 prior property transfers Pinnacle has assisted with.
