In a press release from May 25, West Herr announced the opening of West Herr Honda of Canandaigua following the finalization of its purchase of Victory Honda in Canandaigua, New York, which Victory Automotive Group formerly owned. West Herr, which has represented Honda since 2007, has also received the Honda President's Award, which signified a commitment to customers, seven times total.

“It was a privilege to work with the team at Victory Honda and serve the Canandaigua community," said Jeffrey Cappo, President of the Victory Automotive Group, according to the press release. "We leave the dealership – team, facility, customer-focused mentality – in capable hands as we share so many core values and are incredibly like-minded. West Herr is a class act.”

President and CEO of the West Herr Automotive Group Scott Bieler shared that everyone at the dealership has been anticipating the expansion as the auto group continues to grow in the community. The newest location marks West Herr's 33rd location and has been completely renovated since the purchase, staffed with 41 employees, and housing 1,700 new and used vehicles.

"Everyone at West Herr is excited about expanding our presence in the Canandaigua market," said Bieler, according to the press release. "We look forward to growing the Honda store as we have in the past year and a half with our Toyota store. The community of Canandaigua welcomed us with open arms, and we are proud to make this additional investment in their area.”

West Herr was founded in 1950 as a single-point Ford Dealership in Hamburg, New York, growing into the largest automotive group in New York State.
