General Motors (GM) introduced a new digital retail platform for the used-vehicle market.

CarBravo will rival Carvana and CarMax in providing a seamless customer experience but is also intended to “elevate the shopping, buying and ownership experience,” GM announced.

“CarBravo will give customers more choice and access to shop significantly expanded inventories of both the dealer and a national central stock of GM used vehicles,” Steve Carlisle, executive vice president and president general motors North America, told Automotive News. “Importantly, the program features will also be offered on non-GM used vehicles.”

The company plans to have over 400,000 vehicles in stock for buyers to choose from, AutoBlog reported.

CarBravo will list assets of GM, GM Financial and the GM dealer network to deliver greater flexibility in the shopping and buying experience while providing a simple and transparent interface. Consumer launch is scheduled for the spring of 2022.

At-home test drives and home deliveries will be available at participating dealers. All vehicles that will be included in the digital retail platform will be inspected and reconditioned to ensure they meet GM’s standards.
