The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has certified the 2022 Kia EV6's range and efficiency.

The EPA certified that the EV6 can offer up to 310-mile range on one charge for rear-wheel-drive models.

“The EV6 marks a new and transformative era in Kia electrification,” Sean Yoon, president and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America, told Cision PR Newswire. “This innovative crossover leverages the many benefits of its advanced platform to offer a level of technological excitement and convenience that will provide a superb ownership experience.”

The standard model offers only 232 miles on one charge.

The EV6 offers two different drive trains, single and dual motor, in addition to two battery options. The Standard Range EV6 will be a single-motor, rear-drive version that has a 58-kilowatt-hour battery and a 160-kilowatt motor that can offer up to 167 horsepower, according to AutoBlog.

"The 2022 EV6 crossover recently made Guinness World Records history, traveling 2,880.5 miles with the shortest charging time to cross the United States in an electric vehicle,” according to Cision PR Newswire. "During the seven-day trek from New York City to Los Angeles, the Kia EV6 was plugged in for a scant 7 hours 10 minutes and 1 second,  beating previous record holder, Tesla, by more than five and a half hours."
