A Madera, California, dealership hopes to donate 300 new bicycles to children in Madera County.

Madera Ford Fleet Manager Mitchell Riegelhuth has a heart for kids and hopes the dealership is able to donate 300 new bikes this year.

"Our goal is $10,000," Riegelhuth told Fox 26 News. "The bicycles are a universal toy because it doesn't matter what nationality, what religion, what political party you're affiliated with, a bicycle -- everybody loves bicycles."

A GoFundMe page has been set up to accept monetary donations to reach the 300-bike goal. The GoFundMe is currently up to $2,800.

The bicycles will be assembled on Saturday, Dec. 11, in the Ford dealership’s showroom, which will be transformed into Santa’s toy room for the day.

On Dec. 18, Riegelhuth, together with his team at Madera Ford and in collaboration with Sierra Valley Almonds and Midland Tractor, will give away the bikes on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents should be able to present proof of residency in Madera County to receive a bicycle for their child.

"It's not all about you or me. It's about us," Riegelhuth told Fox 26 News.
