Back by popular demand, the short-box Silverado pickup trucks will return for 2022.

The regular cab, short-bed Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck has not been in production since model year 2019.

“For some, the single-cab truck is the quintessential pickup truck with the perfect proportions for slamming, air-bagging, burning rubber or hugging corners,” Motor Trend says. “During the shorty's hiatus, Chevrolet has only offered its Regular Cab Silverado with the long bed.”

Not all manufacturers offer a single cab anymore, such as Toyota, Nissan, and Ram — at least on its latest 1500, Motor Trend noted.

The shorter wheelbase could be good for off-roading. However, it is not ideal for a lift kit. Short-bed enthusiasts would have to note, though, that the Standard Bed (79.44 inches) will be the shortest bed for the Regular Cab. Technically, it isn’t the shortest bed that Chevy offers, however. It falls between the Short (69.92 inches) and Long (98.18 inches) Bed options, according to Motor Trend.

The Chevy Silverado with the Regular Cab, Short Bed configuration, is offered in South America and the Middle East.
