A North Carolina auto dealership has donated an abundance of car parts to support a local college’s automotive program.

Sale Auto Mall of Kinston, North Carolina, gave a variety of Ford automotive parts to Lenoir Community College’s Automotive Systems Technology Department.

“We wanted to give to their automotive program, so they can enhance their program,” Don Sale, owner of Sale Auto Mall, told Yahoo! News. “It would be different parts for cars and also body parts. It’s so they can practice on them. They can cut some of these things in half so the students can see the internal parts.”

Through the enhancement of the school’s program, the dealership believes that more students will be encouraged to participate.

“We need more people in that field," Sale said, according to Yahoo! News. "A trained workforce that is not available as much anymore. We wanted to enhance their program to draw more students into their program."

Sale Auto Mall had large number of extra parts that have not been appraised, so while the exact monetary value is unknown, the donation could have totaled a value of six figures.
