A North Dakota dealership raised over $13,000 in donations for local cancer fighters and survivors.

Ryan Chevrolet of Minot, North Dakota, campaigned for the funds to support cancer rehab patients included in the Trinity Exercise Rehab Program.

“We’re just so proud of the Ryan Chevrolet Team and the people of Minot for coming out,” Ryan Chevrolet owner/operator Kathleen Gaddie said, according to the Minot Daily News. To sustain this donation level and increase the number of participants is a strong indicator that we are on to something really good here. We look forward to finding new ways to improve and grow even more next year.”

The 8th Annual Pancake Breakfast was a drive-through event held on Oct. 23, where the dealership served pancakes, sausage links and orange juice or coffee directly to car windows, instead of having an indoor benefit as they had in previous years, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Ryan Chevrolet has held a benefit for breast cancer awareness for eight years now, and about 25 volunteers from Ryan Family Dealerships helped to make this year’s event happen. More than 400 people participated in the event, donating anything from spare change to $100 bills.

During its first drive-through fundraiser event last year, the dealership was able to raise $11,500.
