Sales of Porsche vehicle models have seen an increase since 2020.

In comparison to the same time period in 2020, Porsche sales in the U.S. have increased 30%, the highest growth among major global markets for the brand.

"The Porsche Cayenne remains the most successful model, with 62,451 examples delivered, followed by the Macan with 61,944 units, a 12% increase,” Porsche automakers said, according to Autoweek. “The fully electric Taycan was also extremely popular, with 28,640 cars being delivered to customers. Now in its second full year on the market, it is on a par with the iconic 911 sports car, 27,972 of which were delivered in the first three quarters — an increase of 10%."

According to Autoweek, Porsche noted that for the entire lineup, the 51,615 vehicles delivered in the U.S. represent the 30% sales growth over 2020.

Porsche Taycan electric vehicles deliveries of 28,640 units worldwide in the first nine months of 2021 not only clearly surpassed Porsche 911 but also that of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman, which collectively recorded 15,916 deliveries in the same time period, and the Panamera, which posted 20,275 deliveries.

There were doubts whether Porsche electric vehicle sales would drop off after the first 12 months after release. However, current data implies there has not been a drop-off, Autoweek reported.
