Tire Discounters, Inc., is making a large donation to help the Wounded Warrior Project, a charity and veterans service organization for wounded veterans of U.S. military actions following September 11, 2001.

The Cincinnati-based tire and automotive corporation will be donating up to $25,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“Tire Discounters is proud to continue to support veterans through this donation and by employing many reservists, active veterans and their spouses,” Tire Discounters Vice President of Retail Sales Charles Curlee told Modern Tire Dealer. “It’s our turn to do what we can to support the men and women who have sacrificed to keep us safe.”

Tire Discounters will match donations up to $20,000 and will make a $1 donation -- up to $5,000 -- for each "like" and "share" of its social media content. It has extended the program and will accept donations through Monday, Sept. 27, according to Tire Discounters' Facebook page.

Tire Discounters is hoping to reach $50,000 in donations from the company and customers together. Donors will get $100 instant savings on a set of Michelin or Cooper tires. Also, select tire sets are eligible for additional mail-in rebates.

In 2020, the company raised $40,000 to support the Wounded Warrior Project via a fundraising event held across its more than 135 stores, according to Modern Tire Dealer.
