Team Toyota athlete Jessica Long bagged the gold medal in the women’s 100-meter butterfly S8 at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2021.

She also won a gold medal in the women’s 4x100-meter medley relay and earned a silver medal in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke SB7.

“Day 10 is challenging,” Long said in a Toyota Press Release. “I truly have always said the Paralympics are for those who are super-mentally tough, and that is what I tried to channel today because I was tired and hurting and sore, but I love swimming, and I love to race, and that is what I tried to do tonight.”

She finished her Tokyo 2021 women’s 100-meter butterfly S8 with a time of 1:09.87, according to the press release.

Long, a five-time Paralympian, is also the second-most decorated U.S. Paralympian in history. She has competed in Paralympic Games Athens 2004, Paralympic Games Beijing 2008, Paralympic Games London 2012 and Paralympic Games Rio 2016, according to Toyota.
