A Colorado Springs dealership is making a donation to help United Way's new Family Success Center, which offers life improvement services.

Through its $10,000 donation to Pikes Peak United Way, the Larry H. Miller Dealerships will be able to support the center’s mission to lend a hand to families and children in southeast Colorado Springs.

“When you look at the work that they’re doing with family services... they’re going into the corridor of the city that has the greatest need and is most impoverished, and they’re helping these people with basic mental health needs and housing to give them the stability they need to make them successful," Bill Stahelin, general manager of Larry H. Miller Toyota Colorado Springs, told KRDO.

The center will officially open in August of 2022, but families will be enrolled to begin the program in November. The center will be offering reading tutors, financial literacy education, GED courses and art therapy.

Cindy Aubrey, CEO of Pikes Peak United Way, told KRDO, "We want to be there for those families that are working two jobs, for  single moms, and parents who have multiple jobs trying to get by with their families."

The Larry H. Miller Dealerships are also donating $10,000 to Angels of America’s Fallen, whose mission is "to encourage and fund healthy, positive activities for the children of fallen firefighters, military and law enforcement," according its website.
