Porsche has recently revealed its secrets: 15 never-before-seen design studies, now published in its book "Porsche Unseen," according to Newsroom: The Media Portal by Porsche.

One of the remarkable designs is the Porsche Renndienst Study.

Convenience, timeliness and flexibility are rolled into one brand experience. While Porsche previously gave a sneak peek into the futuristic exterior of its red prototype, the interior features that will launch users into a unique dimension experience inside the space-capsule-like minivan have been uncovered.

“We thought about how we could still give a distinctly Porsche flair to a passenger compartment that is so far removed from the classic sports car interior. And how autonomous driving could be designed,” Porsche chief designer Michael Mauer said, according to Newsroom.

The minivan can seat up to six people, and the driver can turn and face the passengers when the vehicle is in autonomous mode, according to Motor Authority. It is a three-row seat with the driver positioned solo in the center. The second row has two individual seats, and the third-row seat is a sturdy bench that also “allows a different sitting angle due to its curved sides -- we can turn towards each other. It is a particularly communicative area that invites relaxation, offering alternative seating positions for talking, working and relaxing.”

Only the driver gets an unobstructed side view with the minivan's tapered side windows, and passengers have individual display screens and haptic control, Motor Authority reported. The screens can be folded away on the dashboard.

Ivo van Hulten, director of user experience design, has noted that many of the generations of today are no longer just fascinated by the aesthetics of a product but by how they can benefit from it. While with this mindset, a self-driving Porsche minivan will not enter production anytime soon.
