The 2021 Community Charity Golf Classic has raised $112,500 for three New Mexico nonprofits.

The Mercedes-Benz of Albuquerque, Porsche of Albuquerque and Audi of Albuquerque primarily sponsored the annual golf tournament, together with other community partners. The funds benefited Mandy’s Farm, S.A.F.E. House New Mexico and Community for Learning. The checks were awarded to the recipients last week.

“We plan on using the money to help bring in small-group tutoring and really help kids socially, emotionally with social and emotional skill-building, but the majority is really going to help our kids academically,” Community for Learning Executive Director Anne Apodaca told KQRE.

S.A.F.E. House New Mexico received more than $37,000, Community for Learning received nearly $37,000 and Mandy’s Farm was given over $38,000. Community for Learning added that the money awarded to them is a lifeline for the organization, according to KRQE. The golf tournament has raised $1.7 million over the last 17 years.

"So thankful we were part of this amazing event! Thank you Mercedes-Benz of Albuquerque for your incredible support of our mission," S.A.F.E. House New Mexico tweeted July 21.

Mercedes-Benz of Albuquerque is located at 8920 Pan American Freeway NE, and the Porsche and Audi dealerships are located at 8900 Pan American Freeway NE.
