A restaurant inside a luxury car dealership is rare find, but you will find one at Jim Hudson Lexus in Augusta, Georgia.
Chef Sharon Caskey’s At Your Service Gourmet Cafe, located at 3410 Washington Road, is open to everyone -- not just the customers at the dealership.
“People come in off the street just to eat. My menu changes every day,” Caskey told CBS12-26. “There’s a lot of curiosity about this because having a restaurant inside of a dealership is not typical; it’s not normal.”
While the cafe accommodates people who aren’t necessarily customers of the dealership, car shoppers were Caskey's inspiration for starting the restaurant inside Jim Hudson Lexus. As a former car salesperson, she said clients would often leave the dealership before deciding on a vehicle because they were hungry.
Coming up on three years serving the community, the cafe serves breakfast from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30, as well as soup every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Staff from other dealerships support Caskey’s restaurant as well, CBS12-26 reported.
Bozard Ford Lincoln in St. Augustine, Florida, also has an in-dealership restaurant serving 6,000 meals a week.
