Austin dealership supports Humane Society: 'The things they've been able to accomplish... are amazing'

Roger Beasley Mazda in Austin, Texas, works with a local animal center by raffling off a vehicle and passing on the proceeds from ticket sales to the Austin Humane Society.

Roger Beasley Imports and Roger Beasley Organization managing partner and vice president, Jim Bagan, expressed his gratitude to the community that has been supporting the dealership in its mission to help charities.

"When we started the car raffle 17 years ago, the Humane Society was a very small charity operating in the city," Bagan told Auto Remarketing. "The things they’ve been able to accomplish over the past 17 years, thanks to the support of this community, are amazing. Our mission at  Roger Beasley is to make sure we are there for the long run, and that we make a big enough contribution so that change can happen."

Annually, Roger Beasley Mazda donates a new Mazda to the Austin Humane Society to raffle off to community members for a chance to win the car. Each purchased raffle ticket corresponds to a pet’s food, medical care and a night of shelter and love.

The dealership is a part of Roger Beasley Imports, which has extended its assistance and community social responsibility to different charities over the past four decades, including the Austin Chamber of Commerce and Dell Children’s Hospital, Auto Remarketing reported.

Roger Beasley Mazda opened its doors in 1972. Its namesake operated the first dealership on Burnet Road and held the distinction as one of the first Mazda dealerships in the entire country. Today, Roger Beasley Imports includes two top-tier brands and five separate dealerships in and around Austin (Central and South Austin and Georgetown).
