Libertyville Mile of Cars, located in a northern suburb of Chicago, offers car shoppers 12 dealerships and 17 different brands of cars, making the Mile of Car options seem endless.

Libertyville Mile of Cars is located only minutes off I-94, making the auto mall visible from the popular interstate.

"With 17 new vehicle brands, as well as a great selection of quality pre-owned cars, trucks, vans and SUVs at our 12 highly rated dealerships, we’re sure you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for right here. You'll enjoy the convenience of shopping at multiple dealerships, moments away from each other," according to Libertyville Mile of Cars' website.

The Mile of Cars is crucial to the local economy, the site said, as it helps supports the small businesses and schools in the area.

"The commerce generated by the Libertyville Mile of Cars dealerships (is) crucial to the economy of Libertyville," the website said.

Libertyville Mile of Cars is located near historic downtown Libertyville, which features many small shops and restaurants. As part of an incentive to boost the local economy during the pandemic, and help bring in more business for the whole area, the Mile of Cars dealerships ran the Libertyville Rewards program.

"Vehicle-related businesses are crucial to our local economy through their sales taxes, employment, connections to other local business and their ongoing support of community events and organizations. We are happy to be able to reward customers for shopping Libertyville's Mile of Cars and to extend the purchasing power of the Rewards certificates throughout the community," Libertyville Mayor Terry Weppler told Cision PR Newswire last October.

The program ran from October 2020 until February 2021 with the goal of making Libertyville Mile of Cars the destination for people looking to purchase a new vehicle. It was part of the "Shop 60048" program designed to help keep small local businesses afloat during the tough economic times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The rewards program offered $200 certificates for residents and $100 certificates to nonresidents who purchased a car, which could then be used at local participating businesses. According to the release, the dealership also donated $100 to a local charity for each car sold.

"The Village of Libertyville is a north suburban Chicago community of nearly 22,000 residents and over 900 businesses, including 25 retail centers, almost 100 restaurants and a historic downtown," reported Cision PR Newswire.
