Steven Mizell named to Group 1 Automotive's board of directors

Group 1 Automotive expands its board’s membership to ten directors and named Steven Mizell to its board in early March, according to Group 1 Automotive Investor Relations.

Mizell is also a current board member of Allegion plc and a top-level executive at Merck & Co., Inc.

His leadership experience includes being a former director at Oshkosh Corporation and several executive roles at Monsanto from 2004 until it was acquired by Bayer in 2018, Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Zilog, Inc., where he served as senior vice president, chief corporate resource officer.

Steve Quinn, Group 1 Automotive chairman, has noted Mizell’s impressive human resources experience at Monsanto as well as other roles he has held at other companies.

"We are extremely pleased to add a person of Steve's broad and extensive human resources experience to our board at Group 1,” Quinn said, according to Group 1 Automotive's press release. “The key to our success at Group 1 has always been driven by our fantastic workforce, and Steve's perspective and input in this area will no doubt be very valuable."
