In the Kelley Blue Book 2021 Best Resale Value awards, Subaru of America, Inc., (SOA) won four categories, including the compact Impreza, which finished on top in its category for the seventh time in the 19-year history of the award.

For the sixth time, the Outback also bagged topped honors, joining the Crosstrek and Forester as victors for the New Jersey-based company.

"We are thrilled to receive the 2021 Best Resale Value Award for Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza and Outback from Kelley Blue Book," Subaru President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Doll told PR Newswire. "These awards reinforce our commitment to providing customers with vehicles made to the highest standards of safety, reliability, dependability and value."

Designed to help customers make the best purchasing decisions they can, the awards single out 2021 models based on their projected retained value through the initial five-year ownership period.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Subaru Corporation of Japan, SOA is made up of a network of more than 630 retailers spread across the country.

Considered a staple in many of the communities it calls home, over the past two decades, SOA has made donations topping $190 million to causes the Subaru family cares most about. In addition, its employees have logged more than 40,000 volunteer hours working on various goodwill projects across the country. Company officials insist they pride themselves on a motto of doing their part “in making a positive impact in the world because it is the right thing to do.”

Kelley Blue Book bases its rankings on the evaluations of experienced automotive analysts who review statistical models that are tried and tested. Vehicles earning the highest five-year residual values are recognized for distinction.
