Asbury Automotive Group names Fay to board of directors

Duluth, Georgia-based Asbury Automotive Group, Inc. has appointed William D. Fay to its board of directors, according to an announcement on asburyauto.com.

The board appointed Fay to the Audit Committee and the Capital Allocation and Risk Management Committee. Fay's election to the board brings the total number of directors to nine, eight of whom are independent, the website stated. 

"We are pleased to add someone with Bill's vast automotive experience and OEM perspective to the Asbury Board," Board Chairman Tom Reddin said in the announcement. "His proven record in sales, marketing, operations, dealership relations, customer experience and omnichannel make him a valuable new addition to our board and will enhance the overall composition of the board."

David Hult, CEO of Asbury Automotive Group said that with Fay’s addition, the company is now in a stronger position to execute its five-year strategic plan that was released in December.

Fay is backed by his highly accomplished automotive career including more than 38 years at Toyota Motor North America, Inc.
