Just in time for the start of the spring football season, Kia Motors America announced in a press release that it will support high school teams impacted by COVID-19.

Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, N.J. is the first recipient of the financial support and will receive $50,000 from Kia Motors America. The Woodrow Wilson Tigers, like many teams around the country, suspended the school's fall season because of social-distancing guidelines and budget cuts.

"[Because] football is America's game, we realized Kia could use this as an opportunity to help high school players keep working toward their dreams of someday being on football's biggest stage," Kia Motors America Vice President of Marketing Russell Wager said in the release. "Kia is continuing to help young people in need get back some of their pre-pandemic lives. We admire the resolve and determination of the Woodrow Wilson Tigers and look forward to celebrating more extraordinary young people across the country who simply want to play the game they love."

The manufacturer released a 30-second video entitled "The Game Must Go On" on Kia's YouTube channel as part of the campaign.
