The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) donated $25,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans before the NADA Show 2021, which was scheduled to be held in the city but instead was conducted virtually from Feb. 9 to 11 due to the pandemic, according to a press release by NADA.

“This has been an unprecedented year for all of us,” NADA Chairman Rhett Ricart said in the release. “Now more than ever it is important that we, as dealers, continue to come together and support our local communities. I am so pleased we are able to continue this yearly donation in conjunction with the NADA Show, and support this amazing organization as it addresses food insecurity in the city of New Orleans.”

The donation will help Second Harvest in assisting food-insecure families and communities in New Orleans.

“We are so honored by this gift,” Second Harvest President and CEO Natalie Jayroe said in the release. “It is especially meaningful that NADA made this generous donation even though circumstances kept them from coming to New Orleans for their annual show. It is because of support from partners like NADA that our team is able to provide meals and emergency food to our neighbors across South Louisiana during this difficult time.”
