Sheehy Auto Stores recently announced in a Facebook post that it has acquired CarMax Laurel Toyota and renamed the Maryland dealership Sheehy Toyota of Laurel.
“We are excited to add the third Toyota store to our mix of brands, and our first in Maryland,” Sheehy Auto Stores President Vince Sheehy said in the post. “Our goal is to significantly increase sales of new Toyotas and certified Toyotas based on our focus on great pricing and a customer experience that makes it easy. We will also emphasize an expanded, convenient service experience that encourages customers to take care of all service needs at Sheehy Toyota."
Sheehy intends to retain 65% of CarMax Laurel Toyota's staff, and projects to hire approximately 50 more employees.
“By implementing the ‘Sheehy Way,’ we are confident that we can deliver high-caliber customer sales and service,” Sheehy Toyota of Laurel General Manager Steven Paige said. “We do this by hiring only the highest quality and professional individuals who understand the importance in representing both the Sheehy organization and the Toyota brand in a manner that showcases us as a true Toyota Mega Store.”
