The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named 11 Hyundai vehicles to have earned a Top Safety Pick+/Top Safety Pick Award, placing Hyundai to having the most combined IIHS TSP and TPS+ Awards.

All Hyundai SUV models are still TSP or TPS+ Award winners. Notably, the Hyundai Palisade has earned its TSP+ rating by standardizing LED headlamps on all 2021 trim levels.

IIHS considers models as two separate award winners if there is a model year change that improves the award from TSP to TSP+, according to PR Newswire.

"The IIHS continues to set a very high bar for Top Safety Pick awards," Brian Latouf Chief Safety Officer of Hyundai Motor North America, said. "Performing well in these tests helps keep our customers and their families safe."

Hyundai's Top Safety Pick+/Top Safety Pick Award-winning SUVs are Hyundai Venue SUV (TSP with specific headlights), Hyundai Kona SUV (TSP with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights), Hyundai Tucson SUV (TSP with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights), Hyundai Santa Fe SUV (TSP with specific headlights), Hyundai Nexo SUV (TSP+), Hyundai Palisade SUV (TSP+), Hyundai Palisade SUV 2020 Model Year (TSP with specific headlights).

Hyundai's Top Safety Pick winning cars are Hyundai Elantra (TSP with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights), Hyundai Elantra GT (TSP with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights), Hyundai Veloster (TSP with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights) and Hyundai Sonata (TSP with specific headlights).
