AutoNation has given Phoenix Children's Hospital a $20,000 donation and the check was recently presented at AutoNation Toyota Tempe.

The company has raised the fund through its cash register charity program and the unwavering support of its associates at AutoNation stores in Arizona.

The community’s cooperation, including the support of car shoppers, is also a big factor in the success of the program. Customers were able to send their donations to the charity by adding an amount to their credit card, 100% of which goes directly to the charity, according to PR Newswire.

"I'm very proud of the leadership role that AutoNation plays in the local community. Customers and associates have been generous in donating and uniting for a common cause—to drive out cancer," AutoNation's Arizona Market President Matt Brown said.

AutoNation has been engaged in various charity and fundraising works especially those that are focused on fighting cancer. It has launched the inaugural Twelve Cars of Christmas DRV PNK Holiday Parade in November, to help support families with children who are battling cancer.
