Subaru of America Inc. recorded October as its sixth month in a row this year to have sold more than 50,000 vehicles.
Although the year-to-date sales of 497,971 resulted in a 14% drop compared to the same period in the year prior, the month posted a gain of 11% over its October 2019 sales, according to PR Newswire.
Outback, Crosstrek and Forester pushed October to be the strongest sales month in 2020, so far.
"October saw impressive sales across all segments and was the best October in the history of the Subaru franchise, an achievement that would be impossible without the perseverance of our dedicated retailer network," Subaru of America, Inc. President and CEO Thomas J. Doll, said. "As we head into the season of giving, we look forward to celebrating the 13th anniversary of the Subaru Share the Love® Event with its tradition of giving back to local and national charities."
From Nov. 19 until Jan. 4, 2021, Subaru will donate $250 for each new vehicle purchased or leased to the customer's choice of any of these organizations: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America and National Park Foundation, or a hometown charity selected by participating Subaru retailers.
