The 2020 and 2021 Volkswagen Atlas and Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport earned the five-star safety rating from the federal New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) which Earnhardt Volkswagen is proud of.

The rating is an acknowledgment that Volkswagen’s safety cage, crumple zones, automatic post-crash braking and airbags are capable of saving lives.

"Already our Golf and Jetta models have earned the same five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) NCAP," General Manager of Earnhardt Volkswagen Paul Fox said. "It is important to the Earnhardt Volkswagen family that these two SUVs not only passed the NHTSA crash tests but also aced them."

The five-seater Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport and the seven-seater Volkswagen Atlas come with standard rain-sensing windshield wipers and heated side mirrors. In addition, the brand’s exclusive Intelligent Crash Response System is capable of unlocking doors, turning on interior and hazard lights, and disabling engines and major electric systems. Both also offer lane assist, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring, according to PR Newswire.
