Crown Automotive Group has recently launched two partnerships to make a positive impact on children’s lives, according to a Facebook post by Asbury Automotive Group.

It has partnered with Gillespie Park Elementary School, which kicked off with the granting of an $8,000 check fund which will help the students receive several benefits such as hot spot internet access, technology devices which are vital to their education through the new and current study system, and other virtual learning essentials.

Crown Auto Group’s staff will also be volunteering to increase the children’s opportunity to practice reading, according to Gillespie Park Elementary School Principal Lei Washington.

“We are appreciative to the Crown corporation for reaching out to Gillespie and wanting to do something tangible to make things accessible for kids to make equity manifest in the lives of our kids,” Washington said.

Crown has also partnered with BackPack Beginnings with an $8,000 donation to support the organization and fund food, clothing and other backpack programs for Greensboro’s underserved youth.
