Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) will assist Community Resource Center (CRC) in delivering teacher PPE kits to the 135 schools in the Metro Nashville Public School system using 20 Mitsubishi vehicles.

The three-day delivery starting Sept. 1 will be participated by over 20 MMNA employee volunteers but with strict compliance to safety protocols such as wearing masks and gloves and observing social distancing.

"Mitsubishi Motors immediately stepped in to offer staff support and vehicles to bring the teacher PPE kit delivery over the finish line," CRC Executive Director Tina Doniger said. "That is exactly the type of partner you want in a crisis, but also when a window of opportunity presents itself to make something good happen for the community."

The collaboration between MMNA and CRC started when Mitsubishi supported the center’s relief effort in the aftermath of the March 2020 tornadoes with MMNA’s donation of a 2020 Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle (PHEV) long-term lease and staff volunteer time, according to PR Newswire.
