Volkswagen Group of America is now extending its “promise” to small business owners looking to get their establishments back on solid footing.

After launching its “Community Driven Promise” program earlier this year as a way of aiding customers and shedding some of the financial stresses that can come with buying and owning a car through payment assistance, deferred payment plans and interest-free financing options, the company is now extending the program to local businesses by providing joint funds to its dealer partners that are intended to be passed on to small business owners often looked on as the backbone of the society.

Already, Findlay Volkswagen in Henderson has jumped at the chance to uplift its community through the program, moving to accept the co-op funds and allocate their advertising dollars to support its city using the “Community Driven Promise” platform. The Diced Kitchen and Mojave Brewing Company are the first two companies the dealership has chosen to lend support through the program.

“When VW offered dealerships the opportunity to utilize our co-op advertising budgets to support small businesses through the “Community-Driven Promise,” I was elated,” said Findlay Volkswagen Henderson GM Melisa Eichbauer. "Small businesses are fueled by love and to me that is big business. Watching local entrepreneurial small business owners double down on hope and reject doubt through these times has inspired us to get behind them whole-heartedly in helping to move Nevada forward and keep businesses in business.”

Operated by John “Griff” Griffith, Mojave Brewing Company opened its doors earlier his year and provides local craft beers, specializing in freshly produced ales, lagers and ciders that are sold on site.

Offering ready-to-eat healthily prepared meals to families across the valley, Diced Kitchen has been operating for nearly the last five years under the ownership of former personal trainer Christina Martin.
