Kia Motors America posted record-high July retail-only sales of 52,479 units as Sorento led the month’s performance with 8,008 vehicle sales, according to PR Newswire.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, some Kia vehicles still gained good performance in July.
Telluride SUV with 4,822 vehicle sales boasts a 68.3% growth from June sales (2,864 units).
Just launched in July, the all-new 2021 K5 midsize sedan posted partial month sales of 1,268.
Seltos recorded its best monthly sales since January 2020 with 4,504 vehicles sold.
"In the middle of the pandemic Kia posted the largest year-over-year retail-only volume increase in the industry as demand for our six utility vehicles continues to grow," Bill Peffer, vice president, sales operations, Kia Motors America, said. "Kia's momentum has allowed us to gain share and we are confident that the all-new K5 and Telluride Nightfall Edition, combined with several new product launches scheduled for the coming months, will continue the brand's upward trajectory."
