The Kia Stinger sport sedan and the Telluride SUV have won a J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) award in their respective segments.

The Stinger continues to be Kia’s highest performing vehicle, according to PR Newswire.

Both vehicles have provided improved features to car enthusiasts such as the 3.3L V6 GT combined with the power and design of a Grand Touring vehicle in Stinger’s GT-Line on the 2.0L and Telluride’s various enhancements and special appearance package – Nightfall Edition – for the 2021 model year as well as added convenience with its remote engine start button, available LED headlamps and impressive towing capability.

Vehicles that provide a new-vehicle owner the satisfaction in design, performance, safety, usability, comfort and perceived quality in the first 90 days of its purchase, earn an overall APEAL index score measured on a 1,000-point scale.

"At Kia, we take pride in delivering a world-class ownership experience, whether customers are interested in driving a bold, capable three-row SUV like the Telluride, or the head-turning, powerful Stinger," Sean Yoon, president & CEO of Kia Motors America, Kia Motors North America, said. "We are honored to win not just one, but two segments in the APEAL study, which further reinforces the brand's 'Give It Everything' approach to each model we build."
