In its 23rd year, the annual Sheehy 8000 Sales Race commenced on July 17 and will run through Sept. 8.

With all 29 Sheehy dealerships participating, to reach the target in selling 8,000 cars in 50 days, Sheehy Auto Stores’ community-wide campaign aims to raise awareness and funds to benefit the American Heart Association, especially with the current global health situation.

This is the second consecutive year that Sheehy Auto Stores and the American Heart Association are working together to advocating healthier lives.

"The Sheehy 8000 is one of our most significant annual sales events and fundraising partnerships," Vince Sheehy, president of Sheehy Auto Stores, said. "As we all navigate living through the COVID-19 pandemic and our new reality, it is important now more than ever to stay well through heart-healthy diets and exercise. We are proud to once again partner with the American Heart Association and their 'Healthy for Good' initiative to provide homebound and socially distant support and guidance."

In 2019, the Sheehy 8000 Sales Race initiative was able to raise $300,000 for the American Heart Association, according to PR Newswire.
