Carter Myers Automotive (CMA) recently named its initial batch of recipients for its CMA’s Moving Lives Forward Scholarships.

The program, which was a brainchild of one of CMA's associate, will benefit four children from among the company employees. The auto company aspires to move their lives forward through education.

This year’s Moving Lives Forward scholars are Wyatt Lamb, son of Michelle Lang, Charlottesville receiving $2,500, attending Universal Technical Institute; Iyaana Johnson, daughter of Carlos Johnson, Richmond, receiving $2,000, attending Howard University; Jada Keene, daughter of Brandi Bane, Staunton, receiving $1,500, attending Mary Baldwin University; Piper Bane, step-daughter of Brandi Bane, Staunton, receiving $1,000, attending James Madison University College of Business.

The recipients and award amounts are determined by a non-partisan committee nominated by CMA and following guidelines established by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF). The program fund is managed and distributed by CACF.

CMA looks forward to seeing how these students will be moving lives forward in the future, it said in its press release.
