The Walser Automotive Group supports the Supreme Court’s recent ruling that federal law forbids job discrimination based on sexual orientation as the company has also its own Employee Resource Group (ERG) supporting the LGBTQ+, Drive With Pride.
Drive With Pride, which was launched in October, is Walser’s second ERG. It is centered on areas of education, support and community outreach for Walser LGBTQ+ employees, families, allies and clients.
Walser believes that through diversities, it can better represent customers, employees and its core values—do the right thing, lead by example, display positive energy and be open-minded.
“The creation of Drive With Pride is a critical part of Walser’s evolving efforts to extend diversity, inclusion and belonging across our company,” Sherry Schultz, Walser’s chief human resources officer, told Business Wire. “We’re actually creating differences within our four walls with demonstrated policies, benefits, and human resource practices. It’s easy to be a supporter. It’s harder to bring broad scale benefits to the population. That’s where we’re headed.”
The Women of Walser is Walser’s first Employee Resource Group.
