With seven models achieving the highest rank in their segments, Hyundai Motor Group has earned the most model-level awards in the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS).

Genesis G70 scored 129 PP100 and landed as the top compact premium car for the second consecutive year.

Hyundai Tucson ranked as the best compact SUV while Hyundai Veloster earned the top score in the compact sporty car segment.

Kia Forte has ranked as the best compact car; Sedona in the minivan segment; Sorento in the upper midsize SUV; and Soul in the small SUV segment.

Additionally, Kia and Genesis made another milestone this year. Kia as the highest-ranked mass market brand for the sixth year in a row and Genesis as the highest-ranked premium brand for the fourth consecutive year.

The 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study was fielded from February through May 2020 from 87,282 purchasers and lessees of new 2020 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership.
