Cars.com names Best Fourth of July deals

Cars.com shares the best Fourth of July deals for top 2020 American-Made Index vehicles as its recent study reveals that 44% of in-market car shoppers plan to purchase a car this Fourth of July weekend.

The research further shows that most of the shoppers who intend to purchase vehicles this weekend say they will buy a domestic-made vehicle.

“Our data continues to indicate that COVID-19 has sped up shoppers’ car purchasing timelines for a myriad of reasons, and now we’re learning that the majority of those planning to buy this weekend say they will buy a domestic-made vehicle,” said Kelsey Mays, Cars.com’s senior consumer affairs and vehicle evaluations editor, in a release. “During times of crisis, it’s not surprising to see Americans want to make purchases that directly impact our country’s economy — either by buying American-made or by supporting local small businesses. And when shoppers visit their local dealership, that makes an impact on the community.”

Below are some of the best Fourth of July deals which car buyers may choose from.

The 2020 Ford Ranger, which ranked first on the 2020 AMI is available now through July 6. Ford is offering $1,000 off on all trim levels which are the XL, XLT and Lariat. Price after discount may range from $24,605 to $47,710. Eligible shoppers can enjoy discount financing either at 0% for 60 months or 6.9% for 84 months. Ford Ranger is assembled in Wayne, Michigan.

Credit-worthy car buyers can get 0.9% for up to 60 months or 1.9% for up to 72 months on the Odyssey (ranked 5th on the 2020 AMI); for the Ridgeline (6th 2020 AMI placer) and Passport (7th top 2020 AMI), similar offers of 1.9% for up to 60 months or 2.9% for up to 72 months are available. All of which will expire on July 6. These three Honda cars are assembled in Lincoln, Alabama.
