With change in the air, officials at Findlay Volkswagen in Henderson, Nevada are proud to have managed to remain who they’ve always strived to be.

“As a whole, Findlay Automotive is really family-oriented, holding events year-round to help the community,” Marketing Director Marcy Colletti told Mega Dealer News. “At Volkswagen, our motto is drive bigger, which means do something bigger than yourself. Our entire initiative is to help the community while being good and doing good.”

Throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Findlay management has answered the call, finding a way to keep all employees on the payroll and still receiving benefits despite showrooms across the state being closed by the governor.

In addition, company executives turned the dealership's Community Room into a food pantry, stocked with everything from fruits, vegetables, bread, and other essentials and opening it to employees and others in need across the community.

Finally, knowing the stress and change the virus has put on everyone, the dealership has used company showrooms to host socially distanced graduations for the children of employees otherwise forced to miss out. Every child set to walk the stage, from pre-school to high school, was included, with all of them receiving a framed certificate and high schoolers a Visa gift card.

“We like to try to inspire people in what we do,” Colletti said. “As a company, we believe in just doing good and not being concerned about the politics of it, just keeping a steady hand on the pulse of the community.”

On the business side, with the dealership's service department remaining open throughout the pandemic after being declared an essential business, the company has created and expanded options that keep services humming along.

The company’s Joydrive program, where customers can make auto purchases online, has been expanded with Findlay now offering drop-off service of vehicles where the car is completely draped in protective coverings when delivered.

Findlay Automotive was founded by the late Pete Findlay nearly six decades ago. Starting out with just one location, the dealership now has 32 stores spread across Nevada, Arizona Utah, Oregon, Idaho, and California.
