Jan Weston, owner and chief financial officer of Weston Kia, and his family have donated $15,000 each to SnowCap Community Charities and My Father’s House.
Weston’s help, during these trying times, will help both non-profit organizations to carry on with their mission to aid the communities they are assisting.
"We saw an opportunity to do something for two organizations that have been in the community for a long time and that have a huge impact," Weston said. "We knew they were hurting."
The donations have been recently received by both institutions and are grateful to Weston.
"This (donation) means we can continue to be a reliable source of help to the people who have had the bottom fall out. We are seeing more than double the number of people who are first-timers. And that's increasing every day," said Kirsten Wageman, Executive Director, SnowCap. "They stepped up. This shows this community really cares about each other."
This donation is in addition to Kia’s other good deeds during this crisis including its newest Kia’s Accelerate the Good Program.
