Toyota launches new IP licensing program

Toyota recently announced its Toyota IP Solutions program, which aims to serve as an avenue for the licensing of patents to U.S. companies – both in the automotive and non-automotive industries.

Toyota IP Solutions is initially being offered for licensing in four areas: Bio-Active Material, Electronics Thermal Management, Nano-Material Synthesis, and Omnidirectional Structural Color. Other portfolios are currently being assessed and will be available in the future.

"As one of the world's leading patent providers, our intellectual property spans a wide range of technologies," Toyota Motor North America Chief Administration Officer for Manufacturing and Corporate Resources Chris Reynolds said in a press release. "We're excited that the various technologies now being offered via the Toyota IP Solutions program are not limited to the automotive industry and many can be applied to other products."

Visit Toyota IP Solutions or email ToyotaIPSolutions@Toyota.com for more information about the program. Toyota IP Solutions will be displayed in the Toyota booth at the upcoming CES 2020 show in Las Vegas.
