The 2020 Honda CR-V and CR-V Hybrid have earned Green Car Journal’s 2020 Green SUV of the Year award.

The award marks the second time Honda has received Green SUV of the Year honors, and the sixth time a Honda vehicle has earned accolades from Green Car Journal.

The 2020 Honda CR-V has had a redesigned front bumper and grille plus a fresh headlight design. All 2020 model year Honda CR-Vs come with the Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies. The fuel-efficient-hybrid CR-V, which is expected to be Honda’s top-selling model, will join the lineup early next year.

"Honda's CR-V is already efficient as a conventionally-powered model and well-established as a driver favorite," Green Car Journal and GreenCarJournal.com Editor and Publisher Ron Cogan said in a press release. "The addition of a new all-wheel-drive CR-V using Honda's proven two-mode hybrid system is an exceptional move, offering buyers an even more compelling reason to consider this award-winning model at the showroom."
