Subaru of America, Inc. recently announced its October sales of 55,531 units, a 0.3-percent increase compared to the same month in 2018, giving the automaker year-to-date sales of 580,860 vehicles for a 4-percent increase from the same period last year.
October 2019 is Subaru's 68th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales.
"Thanks to strong demand for our class-leading products, the Subaru franchise was able to report its best October ever," Thomas J. Doll, president and CEO of Subaru of America, said in a press release. "Our retailers have worked tirelessly to deliver another strong month of sales. We are proud and appreciative of their outstanding efforts."
Crosstrek had a 10-percent growth over October 2018 and posted a new all-time monthly sales record. Impreza gained a 3.6-percent increase and Ascent achieved its best October ever by posting a 1.4-percent increase.
"We are pleased to finish with a small increase in October given the competitive landscape," Jeff Walters, Subaru's senior vice president of sales, said in the press release. "With just two months remaining in the year, we are moving toward our 700,000-vehicle sales goal for 2019."
