AutoNation Inc. recently awarded a $10,000 check to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital as part of the dealership group's DRV PNK program, through which it has already funded more than $20 million for cancer research and treatment.

The check was presented at the AutoNation Appreciation Event held on Oct. 26 in Tempe, Arizona. The program provides an opportunity to spread awareness about the company’s commitment to drive out cancer as well as a chance for current and former Phoenix Children's Hospital cancer patients and their families to ride in Waymo's fully self-driving vehicles.

AutoNation is also contributing $10 for every Waymo rider who has participated in the early-rider program.

"We are excited to celebrate our partnership with Waymo, in addition to donating $10,000 to the Phoenix Children's Hospital," Cheryl Miller, AutoNation's chief executive officer and president, said in a press release. "Through our DRV PNK initiative, AutoNation has raised more than $20 Million to fund cancer-related charities."
