Celebrity Motor Cars' Lexus of Route 10 named Best of the East for eighth straight year

For the eighth year in a row, Celebrity Motor Cars' Lexus of Route 10 in Hanover Township, New Jersey is a recipient of the luxury vehicle company’s Best of the East award.

The dealership, which is located 35 miles outside of New York City, bears the distinction as the lone Lexus dealership to win any honor eight straight times, according to a press release. Having won its first Best of the East accolade in 2012, Lexus of Route 10 bested 61 other dealerships in Lexus’ Eastern Area for the 2019 crown.

Owner Tom Maoli attributed the decade-long streak to running the business like a “customer-service hospitality service department.

“At the end of the day, servicing cars is just a byproduct of what we do,” Maoli told Mega Dealer News. “We service our customers in hospitality.”

Lexus of Route 10 has been operating for 25 years, with Maoli, the host of the "Go Big or Go Home" radio show, serving as its principal for the past decade.

According to the release, the dealership, which is a part of the stable of luxury brands under the Celebrity Motor Cars umbrella that includes Maserati, BMW, Mercedes and Alfa Romeo dealerships, combines “a sophisticated approach with a small-town feel.”

The dealership's latest Best of the East honor was earned just as it garnered The Lexus Crown Jewel Award for the second straight year. In order to win another Best of the East award in 2020, Maoli believes in sticking with what has worked for Lexus of Route 10.

“If it’s not broken, don’t fix it,” he said. “Everything we’re doing, our customers love it. We get emails and letters in the mail constantly. Customers love the service we provide. People come into the dealership and tell me there’s no other dealership like it.”

Maoli praised his dedicated staff for the dealership’s success.

“I couldn’t do it without my team and my employees because those are the people on the ground executing every day,” he said.
