Mazda North American Operation and Lincoln Tech have announced the launch of their Certified Technician Training Partnership.

Mazda dealerships will have the opportunity to recruit Lincoln Tech’s Automotive Technician students who will be completing their training. The eligible new hires will be provided by Mazda dealers with student loan repayment, a guaranteed living wage and will be given assistance on their work during a one-on-one mentorship with senior Mazda technicians.

"There's a shortage of qualified auto technicians all across the nation," Lincoln Tech's President and CEO Scott Shaw said. "We're excited and grateful to Mazda for entering into this partnership with our Queens campus. Our students will benefit through loan repayment and the mentorship experience; the campus will benefit from donated vehicles and equipment provided by Mazda, and we're confident that Mazda will benefit from the graduates that go to work for their dealerships."

As part of the agreement, Lincoln Tech's Queens campus has received vehicles and training equipment as a donation from Mazda. The latter will provide more vehicles in the coming weeks.
