Porsche earned the highest overall ranking in the 2019 J.D. Power APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout) Study with a score of 891, an improvement of 8 points over last year. The Porsche Cayenne added a second honor when it earned the top spot in the Midsize Premium SUV segment for the third consecutive year.

The 2019 APEAL Brand Index Ranking is based on a 1,000-point scale gauging owners’ emotional attachment and feedback about their new vehicle across 77 attributes, which includes the level of confidence they exude when they step on the gas, and how comfortable they are when climbing into the driver’s seat. The study was conducted from February 2019 through May 2019 and included nearly 70,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2019 model-year vehicles.

BMW and Genesis placed second in the overall category with 868 points each, and Audi ranked third with 867.
