AutoNation Honda Hollywood has been one of the recipients of the Honda Environmental Leadership Program or Green Dealer Program award and named as the 2018 Energy Efficiency Leader.
It is one of the 33 dealerships across the U.S. to be recognized with the 2018 award. The yearly honor is granted to dealerships which have exhibited remarkable energy performance based on their energy use per square foot of building space.
“We're proud to be recognized as a 2018 Energy Efficiency Leader and join Honda's global effort to preserve and protect the environment,” said Mike Eagle, general manager of AutoNation Honda Hollywood. “It has been extremely gratifying for our associates and customers to experience the changes we've made at our dealership to lower energy costs and reduce our environmental impact in the community.”
Honda initiated the voluntary Green Dealer Program and introduced it to U.S. dealers back in 2011 to encourage continuous improvement among its Green Dealers and acknowledge their ongoing efforts to conserve energy. Honda collaborates with a third-party evaluator to conduct environmental audits of its participating dealers and analyzes dealerships' energy performance over a calendar year to determine the Energy Efficiency Leaders.
